our life | our revolution
We have just returned from a 3 day retreat at Rock Haven Bible Camp in Hasty, Arkansas. It was a 2 hour drive into the beautiful Ozarks of Arkansas. We were able to take 12 Campus Life students and several more international students from International Life. It was great how God arranged us to join groups for this as that has been a goal of the ministry for this year.
As you can tell Chris has had a hard time keeping up with the mission blog. I would love for him to share with you his ideas and thoughts because he has so many wonderful things to share. However, in his quest to pursue many things these days, I will attempt to fill in with my perspective.
fall semester is coming fast. it always seems that it comes quicker than it should. classes end in may and already we’re working on finalizing everything for the coming fall. let me give you all a break down of what our fall is going to look like.
i a story on cnn.com about this guy who spends his own money and brings homemade ahot meals to people less fortunate in new york. i’m blogging it because i think its a great example of what someone can do when they are moved with compassion for people around them.

hello everybody!
it’s been awhile since i last posted and that’s because life has been moving in high gear. there has been a lot of stuff that we’ve been working on for chi alpha at missouri state.
no matter what we do, life always moves on. sometimes it feels like our heads are spinning and other times it feels like we are being tortured by the seemingly long duration of it. our perspective is always tainted by our circumstances and what we wish those circumstances would be.
what if our church movements could really transform the world? what if we could see people’s lives transformed by God’s love and grace? what if we could actively affect our community? what if we could live in genuine relationship with people around us? what if we could refocus and re-prioritize our mission to people and not padding attendance numbers or conversion figures? what if we could influence the course of the world around us? what if…?
one of our primary goals for chi alpha at missouri state this year is to create and implement a leadership development process. we value the gifts that many individuals in our community want to share with each other. we value young people’s ability to minister to each other. our goal is to train young people how to effectively communicate Christ’s love and gospel to other people.
this is the outcome of last week’s story. sorry it’s taken this long to post again. it’s been a busy since then, but i’m back again now. so here it is.
