what if our church movements could really transform the world?  what if we could see people’s lives transformed by God’s love and grace?  what if we could actively affect our community?  what if we could live in genuine relationship with people around us?  what if we could refocus and re-prioritize our mission to people and not padding attendance numbers or conversion figures?  what if we could influence the course of the world around us?  what if…?

have you ever asked questions similar to this?  have you ever read the bible and wonder why we don’t see the new testament lived out in the same potency it apparently had in history?  have you ever wished that more people would care to involve themselves in our church ministries?  have you ever wished that…?

i don’t have answers.  what i do know is that something must change in our churches if we want to effectively bring Jesus to the emerging generation.  there are many “hot” words to talk about “emerging” methods and “new” ideas.  chi alpha has built itself on effectively establishing authentice communities of young people working out their relationship with God.  chi alpha has develpoed methods that effectively communicate the gospel message in a culturally relevant way to the modern generation of people.  chi alpha isn’t alone in this.  many other college and young adult ministries are doing the same thing.
